Its surely a unique experience, to be able to play a game based on a TV series; however the gameplay could have been much better. Even for pure action players, the game will probably become tedious after a while, theres really nothing much to do and the enemy level is always the same, they dont become stronger, faster or possess any kind of skills, so youre basically fighting the same enemies the entire game.

James O'Connor: The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct left such a bad taste in my mouth, especially after the numerous pleasures of Telltales episodic outing (which actually hits every single rule Ive outlined below), that I couldnt help but reflect on the rules of zombie fiction that are so often ignored by games about zombies. Thats not to say that there arent many good games out there about zombies (Left 4 Dead succeeds despite ignoring most of these), but rather that a lot of games use zombies without fully grasping their fundamental appeal.
